Neuro-Ophthalmology is a subspecialty of both ophthalmology and neurology that cares for patients with visual problems related to the central nervous system.

Neuro-Ophthalmologists are ophthalmologists or neurologists with 1 to 2 years of additional fellowship training.

They see patients with optic nerve disorders, elevated intracranial pressure, double vision, and other eye movement abnormalities. Neuro-ophthalmologists play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with complex diseases and presentations.
